HOORI DESPANDE
The workshop covered points like an introduction to assertiveness with the help of examples from characters of books, movies and real life. The difference between a passive, assertive and aggressive person was explained along with role plays to make it interesting and fun for the students.An assertiveness quiz was conducted to help the students assess the level of assertiveness. It was further discussed as to why people are not assertive as well as what are the ways in which a person can be assertive using verbal and nonverbal language.

Ms. Parineeti Agrawal is a Chartered Accountant and a professional image consultant.” The main highlights of the workshop was what constitutes as personal branding and why in today’s date building a personal brand for yourself is so important. The features of personal brand was talked about like being authentic, having appropriate body language, being creative and also the steps we can take towards building it. All this was covered in a creative manner i.e AtoZ of personal branding. We spoke about how unless we believe in yourself as brands we cannot proceed so handouts and small cards of “I believe in Brand Me” were given which they can use as self affirmation tools. “

Communication plays a very important role in an organization. This module taught us about different types of communication methods and the importance of it in a business environment. It also gives knowledge about how to write business letters and e-mails for interviews which will help students for shaping the career and business.

Leadership, team building and communication being a integral part of a business curriculum we had a guest lecture solely based on it. The guest lecturer namely Mrs. Archana Jog engaged the class on the different aspects of the unit. She was very interactive when she covered topics like leadership and took into account our opinions and imparted her views on it. For team building and communication she conducted group activities to validate the theory she taught. Overall we had a very fruitful sessions.
